Tickets are still available for Arrowdawn Gordonians Cricket Club’s race night at Westhill’s Holiday Inn on Saturday, April 3 (2010).
Entry costs just £5 and the event starts at 7.30pm.
Arrowdawn Gordonians plan to put some of the funds towards supporting its new club player/coach, Australian Kyle Humphrys, and the running of four teams, including the 1st team that will play in the Strathmore and Perthshire Cricket Union Division 2 this season.
Club President Andrew Lowden said: “There are a few tickets left. It’s sure to be a great night and a good laugh.”
As well as the Strathmore Union side, Arrowdawn Gordonians will have teams in the local Aberdeenshire Grades 2, 3 and 4 this season. Gordonians Cricket Club, which has experienced a resurgence in recent years, was founded by former pupils of Robert Gordon’s College in the 1920s.
Gordonians Cricket Club clinched a season-long sponsorship deal with Arrowdawn – an Aberdeen-based company that supplies IP telephony systems, networks and support services using only Cisco products. The company was named Cisco Scottish Small-Medium Business Partner of the Year 2009.
