Expanding unified communications specialist Arrowdawn has moved to offices four times larger than its previous premises and clinched two new contracts as the company aims to keep on track for a £1.5m turnover target.
The award-winning Aberdeen-based company has secured new business with independent exploration and production company Premier Oil and NATS – the UK’s leading air traffic services provider. The combined value of the contracts is £100,000.
The latest contracts come on the back of a move to premises which will allow the ICT company to grow and meet a £1.5m turnover figure for 2010, with a target of £3m set for next year.
Arrowdawn has moved 60 yards from its previous address at Rubislaw Terrace to a 1150 sq ft office on Queen’s Terrace. The company, which has contracts with North Sea operators as well as small and medium sized businesses, has six staff but plans to increase this to 10 by the end of the year.
Gordon Adie, Arrowdawn Managing Director, said: “The move to new offices is an exciting step forward in the development of Arrowdawn. We now have the capacity to take on more staff.
“The contract wins are extremely important for Arrowdawn and we’re looking forward to helping both companies enhance their communication systems.”
Arrowdawn supply IP telephony systems, IT networks, infrastructure and support services using only Cisco products which means less cabling and switches are needed, keeping down costs and helping systems to run more smoothly.
The firm was named Cisco Scottish Small-Medium Business Partner of the Year 2009.
Gordon Charlton, Arrowdawn Business Development Director, said: “The new contract wins demonstrate our ability to deliver technology for complex projects that are vital in supporting the energy industry’s multi-million pound processes.
“They also recognise the depth of our local and specialist knowledge, being able to identify the best match of systems to companies to ensure that they get the best out of their IT and telecommunications systems.
“At Premier Oil’s office in Aberdeen we upgraded a previous system to deliver a superior system in a cost-effective way and in a much shorter time than others could – under three weeks.
“Arrowdawn will liaise with third-party providers and energy companies to support and maintain the smooth running of NATS’ offshore communication systems in the North Sea.”
Arrowdawn has expanded rapidly, providing systems to large and small companies in a range of sectors including energy, property and human resources.
Gordon Charlton added: “We are very committed to exceeding customers’ expectations and we don’t sell anything that we haven’t tried and tested ourselves. We are earning an enviable reputation because we have a commitment for putting customers first.”
Arrowdawn deliver a range of services including Cisco Unified Communications, voice and data integration, support and maintenance, security and compliance, and network installation.
