Integrated IT networking and communications specialist Arrowdawn has appointed Richard Moir to the newly-created role of technical director.
A former technical director at Cisco Scotland, Richard will be responsible for driving the Aberdeen-based company’s continued growth across the country through the delivery of effective IT and networking solutions to clients. He was previously principal consultant for Edinburgh-based FarrPoint.
Additionally, Arrowdawn recently expanded its team with the appointment of Diana Norris, internal account manager, Gareth Scott, network engineer, and Frazer Stockton, network analyst, in order to meet rising demand for its services, particularly from clients operating in the oil and gas industry.
Gordon Adie, managing director at Arrowdawn, said: “We are delighted to welcome Richard to the team. He is an industry-respected figure and his experience of high-level projects will be a major asset to our business as we move forward.
“It is an exciting time for the company with a further three members of staff, in addition to Richard. This level of expansion puts us in a strong position to achieve our growth ambitions and continue to provide an excellent level of customer service.”
Richard Moir, technical director at Arrowdawn, said: “I’m thrilled to have joined Arrowdawn and look forward to adding my technical skills, expertise and network of contacts into the strong foundations already in place here.
“The company has an excellent reputation in the marketplace, particularly among the thriving oil and gas industry, while I see genuine potential for growth in key areas such as collaborative technology and the evolution of security architecture.
“By taking a strategic approach to clients’ needs we can ensure that they are well-placed to meet future requirements through the use of emerging technologies.
“The business has an ambitious growth strategy in place, as well as the necessary infrastructure to manage complex network and communications requirements, to take Arrowdawn to the next level.”
