Integrated communications specialist Arrowdawn is offering SPE Offshore Europe 2011 visitors a hands-on experience of new-generation business communications solutions.
Senior personnel from Aberdeen-based Arrowdawn are being joined throughout the week by specialists from global business Cisco to showcase the numerous commercial advantages of new communications technology.
Arrowdawn – on stand 1C81 at the show – has Cisco’s business video networking solution TelePresence in operation throughout the week to give visitors a first-hand insight into its productivity and cost benefits.
On Tuesday (September 6) a TelePresence expert from Cisco will be on the stand to detail the capabilities of a system that facilitates real-time meetings involving personnel at two or more locations – meetings that can take the form of desktop solutions for individual users, boardroom-style systems, or so-called ‘immersive’ systems that use large plasma screens to create a virtual meeting room environment.
On Thursday (September 8)a Cisco specialist in data acceleration and security is there, while throughout the week the stand also features a variety of video-enabled telephone handsets.
Arrowdawn Managing Director Gordon Adie said: “Our overall objective is to give visitors the opportunity not only to see the various systems in action, but to operate them directly so they understand just why this technology is becoming increasingly prevalent today – and shaping the business communications landscape of tomorrow.
“We’re enjoying tremendous support from Cisco in showcasing these key products at Offshore Europe. The relentless globalisation of North Sea oil & gas capabilities makes them particularly relevant and cost-effective solutions for many companies pursuing geographical growth strategies.”
