Arrowdawn lands Cisco Scottish Commercial Partner of the Year Award for 2010

Expanding unified communications specialist Arrowdawn has landed its second national title at a special awards ceremony held by Cisco – the worldwide leader in networking that transforms how people connect, communicate and collaborate.

Aberdeen-based Arrowdawn, which supplies IP telephony systems, networks and support services, landed the Cisco Scottish Commercial Business Partner of the Year Award at the Doubletree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro Hotel.

It is the second year in a row the company has been recognised by Cisco. Last year it was named Cisco Scottish Small-Medium Business Partner of the Year.

Gordon Adie, Arrowdawn’s Managing Director, said: “To be recognised for our ongoing commitment to Cisco and our sales figures for a second time is a fantastic achievement. It’s testimony to the efforts of everyone connected with Arrowdawn. We’re absolutely delighted with our second Cisco award.

“It’s been an exciting time for Arrowdawn. In the last six months we’ve taken on more staff, moved to offices four times larger than our previous location and won a series of contracts with enterprise organisations.”

Donald McLaughlin, Director, Cisco Scotland, said: “Cisco is pleased to have the opportunity to recognise Arrowdawn for its outstanding performance. Our partners are critical to our success and we’re looking forward to continuing to develop and enhance our relationships in future.”

Arrowdawn’s award was for Cisco partners working with companies with 50 to 1,000 users.

The company is on track to increase turnover this year to £1.5 million – a projected rise of more than 400% in just three years.

Arrowdawn supply IP telephony systems and network infrastructure solutions to local, national and international companies and has worked across a range of industry sectors including energy, human resources and property.

As well as onshore projects, Arrowdawn has also installed offshore communication systems and data centres.

Gordon Charlton, Arrowdawn’s Business Development Director, believes the reason for the company’s success has been its ability to understand the needs of clients and deliver bespoke solutions.

He said: “The reward is a culmination of a lot of hard work by everyone at Arrowdawn. We are earning an enviable reputation because we have a commitment for putting customers first.

“The award also recognises the depth of our expertise, being able to identify the best match of systems to companies to ensure that they get the best out of their IT and telecommunications system whether it’s in one office or multi-site locations.”

Arrowdawn was shortlisted at the 2010 Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise and has been nominated in two categories – Overall Small Business and ICT – at this September’s Northern Star Business Awards, the flagship event of the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce.
