Award-winning Arrowdawn flying high after string of contract wins

Integrated telecommunications specialist Arrowdawn has landed a string of new contracts worth more than £150,000.

Aberdeen-based Arrowdawn, which supplies internet protocol (IP) telephony systems, networks and support services, has clinched contracts with Freelance World, a leading provider of accountancy and tax advice services to the contracting and freelance community, marine and environmental specialist Briggs Group and Imes Ltd, the international engineering company.

Arrowdawn has also announced it has been retained by Score Group – the valve and gas turbine specialist – to provide ongoing support and maintenance for its communications system. Briggs Group, Imes Ltd and Score Group have office locations around the world.

Aberdeen-based software specialist Codify and Arrowdawn worked together on the Freelance World project to develop a bespoke customer relationship management (CRM) system to enhance its service to clients. Freelance World’s head office is in Aberdeen.

The one-year contract wins come on the back of Arrowdawn capturing the Cisco Scottish 2009 SMB Partner of the Year Award in May.

Arrowdawn Managing Director Gordon Adie said: “These new and retained contracts are tremendously important for the growth of Arrowdawn this year and for years to come. It really is the icing on the cake following our Cisco award win.

“Arrowdawn’s sales for unified communications are currently 72% higher than expected for a Cisco partner of our size which is a tremendous achievement.

“We’re delighted to be working with such high-calibre companies and we look forward to playing our part in helping each business to run more smoothly and to move forward.”

Kenny Milne, ICT Systems Manager at Freelance World, said: “We engaged with a number of partners to deliver a fully integrated customer relationship management system. Arrowdawn were selected to deliver a Cisco solution to provide the voice and data infrastructure for the project due to their professional approach and expertise in this area. The successful implementation of this project has already helped to enhance the service we provide to our clients. I would definitely recommend Arrowdawn to others.”

Jonathan Ritchie, Group IT manager at Briggs Group, said: “Arrowdawn were extremely knowledgeable and were able to assist us in developing our vision. We are a 24-7 operation with worldwide locations and a large number of vessels and therefore require immediate responses to any potential problems. Arrowdawn has played a key part in Briggs Group saving time and money through unified communications.”

George Summers, ICT Manager at Imes Ltd, said: “We chose Arrowdawn as our partners six years ago for an ICT project due to their professionalism, knowledge of product and understanding of our needs. They quickly realised what we wanted to achieve and have delivered on various projects over the years. I can see Imes Ltd building further on its relationship with Arrowdawn in the future.”

Bob Thomson, IT Manager at Score Group, said: “Arrowdawn has a wealth of knowledge about Cisco products and provide value-for-money support without compromising on service. We’ve been impressed by the speed of their response to any issues raised. We’ve worked with Arrowdawn for three years and see them as a worldwide strategic partner for our communications infrastructure.”

As well as onshore multi-site projects, Arrowdawn has also installed offshore communication systems and data centres. Arrowdawn, which is based in the city’s West End, is also looking to move to larger premises and secure further contract wins in the months ahead.

Arrowdawn Business Development Manager Gordon Charlton said: “These latest projects include developing a company’s multi-site communications which allow free and clear calls from offices in Trinidad and Tobago to offices in Azerbaijan.

“The CRM network means caller information is immediately flashed up on screen when phone calls are made. This allows for improved customer relations as relevant information is available at the touch of a button.

“Another project will ensure a client’s network runs more efficiently and faster once we’ve completed data acceleration work. All these projects improve the flow of information and this can only be good for business.”

Arrowdawn will be exhibiting for the first time at next month’s Offshore Europe event in Aberdeen. The company will be based at stand B34.

Arrowdawn supply IP telephony systems, network infrastructure solutions and maintenance support to local, national and international companies and has worked across a range of industry sectors including energy, human resources and property. The company uses Cisco products.
